Is your olive oil halal?
It is a fair question, and an important one.
The answer is simple. Our olive oil is made from one thing only. Olives.
Nothing is added. Nothing is mixed in. What you taste is exactly what comes from the fruit and the land.
A pure product from Nadin near Zadar
Our olive groves are located in Nadin, just a short drive from Zadar. It is a biggest agricultural area known for it’s eco status in Croatia. With clean soil, sun, and a long tradition of olive growing since ancient Roman times.
This is where everything begins.
We harvest olives and process them using mechanical extraction. No chemicals, no additives, no hidden steps. The process is simple and transparent, just as it has been for generations. Prior to extraction all the machinery is washed to ensure purity of our high-polyphenol extra virgin olive oil.
The result is organic extra virgin olive oil that reflects Dalmatia and the character of EVOO Croatian olive oil production.
Naturally suitable for a halal friendly lifestyle
Because our olive oil is completely plant based, it naturally fits within a halal friendly diet.
We do not use any animal derived ingredients, and there are no additives involved in production. Many of our visitors appreciate this simplicity. They can see where the olives come from, how the oil is made, and what goes into it.
We are not officially halal certified, but our process is clear and honest, which gives people confidence in what they are choosing. Our current EU standard eco certification is visible on our website and it’s renewed on yearly basis. We strictly produce only bio/organic Croatian olive oil and there is no cross contamination. We also publish our analysis certificate also required by the Croatian government in order to be classified in extra virgin olive oil category.
